The Isle of Wight County Republican Committee has officially issued the call for a Mass Meeting to elect a Unit Chairman and appoint members to the Executive Committee. The meeting will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Isle of Wight Ruritan Club in Windsor, Virginia.
Candidates for Unit Chairman must have been file by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
At this time the only filed application was that of the current Chairman, Bill Yoakum.
The Republican Party of Virginia Official Party Plan states that if no other candidates file by the closing deadline, then the existing Chairman having filed, is automatically the winner and is elected to the next term of service as Chairman.
